Configuration hierarchy

  1. Platform schema defines supported capabilities, supported fields and technical safety limits.
  2. Institution records legal entity/category, approved capabilities, jurisdiction, calendars and owners.
  3. Programme records issuer/lender/sponsor, processor, network and settlement/safeguarding arrangements.
  4. Product version records eligibility, economics, disclosures, limits, accounting templates and servicing rules.
  5. Customer agreement/account records the accepted terms version and permitted individual exceptions.
  6. Channel and role policy narrows actions by identity, mandate, branch, device, proof and current state.
An override cannot expand an institution’s legal authority or bypass immutable safety rules. Agree override precedence explicitly; reject conflicting policies rather than selecting an arbitrary value.

Policy lifecycle

Draft → validated/simulated → independently approved where required → scheduled → effective → withdrawn for new business → retired after obligations complete. These are proposed states for confirmation. Record author, approver, original version, effective business timestamp, reason and affected products. Publication must be atomic with audit. Rollback creates a new approved version, not deletion.

Example configuration record

This is an illustrative requirements record, not a deployed DTO or executable provisioning command. Missing pricing, authority or books keeps financial operations unavailable.

Simulation and acceptance

Simulate ordinary and boundary amounts; multiple currencies; changes at cutoff; holiday/leap day; concurrent publication; stale approval; rollback with open contracts; institution suspension and provider outage. Show the effective policy and reason when an action is denied. Preserve accepted existing agreements and explain future migration effects before publication.
